Senior Manager of Marketing

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Sr. Manager of Marketing will co-lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic marketing campaigns and all market audiences across all available platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development and implementation of long-term organizational strategic and business plans;

  •  Assists with the process of branding and strategic positioning;

  • Assists with the preparation of an annual operating plan, budget, cash flow projections and accrual

    reports for all cross-platform marketing activities related to advertising, online, social-media and on-

    air campaigns;

  • Leads the development of strategic campaigns for key market audiences including developing and

    monitoring creative campaigns, creating creative briefs, coordinating all day-to-day activity with the Agency of Record, maintaining quality control of creative, and ensuring that creative adheres to APTN brand values;

  • Leads the process for implementation of strategic campaigns with key suppliers, marketing department and interdepartmental staff;

  • Develops cross-platform marketing strategies and promotional plans for television and/or new media projects in consultation with clients (internal and external) and, upon approval, implementing these strategies and plans;

  • Authorizes creative and expenditures on approved strategic campaign initiatives for key market audiences;

  • Monitors the implementation of tactical plans in support of strategic campaigns for key market audiences to ensure that projects meet budget, timelines and effectiveness;

  • Provides leadership to the APTN web and on-air units to ensure that all strategic cross platform marketing campaigns and promotional plans are consistent and adhering to APTN brand values, maximizing value of APTNs online properties and TV programming and ensuring work-flow efficiency;

  • Provides leadership to the Digital Drum unit by working with the online producer to oversee that the development, implementation and monitoring of long-term strategic plans and budget are carried out and maintained;

  • This position supervises other manager level positions within the department.


  • A degree in a relevant discipline and five years related experience
    (ie: marketing/communications/public relations/advertising); or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Broadcasting knowledge is required

  • Supervisory or managerial experience is required

  • Experience with Internet, E-mail and other related computer software is required
