The New York Center for Photographic Arts (NYC4PA) invites photographers world-wide to submit images using any photographic process (print, image transfer, emulsion transfer, encaustic, black and white, color etc.). Winners will receive over $2,500 in cash awards and be featured in a New York Gallery Show and on the NYC4PA Online Gallery. The Grand Prize winning image will be posted on the NYC4PA home page.
We are very excited that Winners and Juror’s Selections will have the opportunity to participate in a cutting edge gallery show, September 23 thru October 7, 2013, at the SOHO GALLERY FOR DIGITAL ART in the hot new Lower East Side gallery district of Manhattan. This new gallery features 16 40” screens to show off your images in the best light. For Prize Winners we will have a small number of images that will rotate on the screens and for Juror’s Selection a slightly larger number.
Grand, First, Second and Third Prize Winners as well as Juror’s Selections will be invited to send matted prints of the winning images to be displayed in racks and be available for sale. Display prints will be limited to 20 inches on the longest side, matted.
In addition, an exhibition catalog of the group show will be available.
You can almost feel the difference when you travel out of a city. Rural evokes scenes of horse country with rolling hills, houses with rusted cars on the lawn and chickens in the yard, a desert with cactus, or the serene setting of a pond crowded with birds. Whatever images you have that speak to the architecture, landscape, or life in rural areas around the world we would love to see them.
