The Toronto International Film Festival, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is accepting applications for the contract paid full-time position of:

INTERN, PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATION,TIFF BELL LIGHTBOX

This has been an exciting year for TIFF that has been marked by the opening of TIFF Bell Lightbox, our new home and the world's premiere centre for film. This year continues to produce excitement as new programming is offered in TIFF Bell Lightbox. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to be part of a new era in Toronto's cultural history.

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Programme Administration, Bell Lightbox, the Programme Administration Intern position is an opportunity to increase your knowledge of administration and the TIFF Bell Lightbox as a whole. The primary purpose of this role will be to assist with day-to-day office tasks and short-term projects.

Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
• Attend Bell Lightbox and Cinematheque meetings, Provide support to Senior Coordinator, Programme Administration, TIFF Bell Lightbox in administrative duties, including:
o Booking, scheduling, reconfirmations and minute taking, faxing, mailing, filing
o Drafting correspondence for niche outreach, as directed by the Senior Coordinator and Senior Manager, Programme Administration, including social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter
o Research, as directed
o Assist with obtaining OFRB ratings as applicable
• Provide support to the Manager, Editorial and Publications, in duties including:
o Research, copy-editing and proofing
o Coordinating the mailing of programme guides to donors, supporters and partner institutions
o Maintenance of programme guide distribution list and mailing list
• Assist the Programme Administration, Bell Lightbox team with various tasks as requested
• The Intern may also be assigned to provide assistance to other Bell Lightbox Departments, as necessary.

Contract Dates: January 11 to March 5, 2011
Intern will be expected to work 5 days per week during regular business hours and some evenings and weekends (37.5 hours a week total).
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
• Interest in Fine Arts and/or arts administration experience is an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Exceptional eye for detail and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite 2007
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
