Overview

Biography

I am a passionate graduate student who wants to work as an Associate Producer or Production Assistant in the Video Games or CG Entertainment industry. I currently provide project management and creative leadership on industry project teams as I complete my degree in Digital Media.

I excel in communicating vision and managing projects. My recent roles include Associate Producer, Project Manager and Game Director on projects from Ubisoft, Microsoft and Cirque du Soleil’s One Drop Foundation.

My interdisciplinary education in Digital Media and Theatre Production has allowed me to drive creative and technically challenging projects. I enjoy collaborating with engineers, artists, designers and directors.

I am passionate about cg animation and games and their potential to tell dynamic stories and provoke change.

Work experiences

  • Events Coordinator/Office Manager

    With Scale Restaurant Group from April 2008 to August 2009.
    Coordinated corporate events by meeting with clients, clarifying their needs, handling<br> details and communicating with internal staff.<br><br> Managed head office, acted as information "hub" for the company.<br><br> Managed coporate events for Cumis, Pepsi Canada, Mercedes-Benz, Molson, Coca Cola Canada
  • Associate Producer on Graduate Project Current

    With Ubisoft from January 2011 to present.
    Leading a team of interdisciplinary graduate students who are working on improvements to an existing Facebook Social Game.
  • Graduate Student Current

    With Centre for Digital Media at Great Northern Way Campus from September 2009 to present.
  • Project Manager/ Game Designer

    With Microsoft Canada and the British Columbia Innovation Council from September 2010 to December 2010.
    Managing the creation of two games which are fun and engaging while promoting a healthy lifestyle. The first will be launched with the Windows Phone 7 called Nom Nom Rider and the second is a cloud-based game called Banana Samurai.
  • Video Production

    With Blushing Boutique from October 2010 to November 2010.
    Based on a reference from Malene Grotrian, myself and Airlia Hansen collaborated with Blushing Boutique designer Shelly Klassen to produce an introduction video for the Story of A Girl Fashion Event, presented by LuvNGrace Entertainment.
  • Game Director Internship

    With ONE DROP from April 2010 to October 2010.
    Led the creation of a Facebook social game prototype in the first stage of a project named "Operation H2O" for my summer internship. Operation H2O is operated by Guy Laliberte's (Founder of Cirque du Soleil) One Drop Foundation and the De Gaspe Beaubien Foundation. <br><br> Enjoyed researching the business and mechanics of social games, led discussion groups with the target market, presentation to our elite board of directors and designing and creating a working prototype within Facebook.
  • Video Production

    With Malene Grotrian Design from April 2010 to May 2010.
    Collaborated with Malene Grotrian Design to produce a video introduction for the Ice Water Fashion Event, the debut of their Fall/Holiday 2010 Collection.
